I've added a second dishnet receiver (Philips 2060)And code 0775 is functional but scrambled on the cinema 7. So I searched from 100 to 352* finding quite a few good codes when the cinema, on that device (Sat to aux) quit working. At first I thought maybe I hit a service code, but the proprietary remote still functions. I tried setting up the device again which respnded but with no change, and even did a device code check which was showed the device number was correct. I was within three or four numbers* of having done a full sweep when it stopped recognizing any of the extracted codes. Realize also that I have not been yet assigned any of these extracted codes, I had simply searched them, so I havent been somehow burdening the C7 with programming (yet).
What did I do?
Second question: As far as I got in finding advanced functions, I realised that some of the functions I would need would be somewhat hidden because doing a sweep would only reveal ones that would have any effect on the receiver when it was in the normal viewing mode, but other functions like cancel could only reveal themselves when in a view to cancel out ot. I realized this because I repeatedly had to cancel out using the proprietary remote when certain views were found. Any suggestions or insite? Do I have to set the view, then search 256 addresses to find cancel & select?

Wayne, The advanced codes for the dishnetwork receivers are available on the starbase14 site and other places. You should not to search them out one by one?? [Link: starbase314.com]
