I'm in need of more advanced codes for my Denon AVR-2800. Similar codes would be for any Denon receiver (1800, 2700, 3200, 3300, 5700, etc)
Need codes specifically for:
DVD SYSTEM SETUP CH SELECT ON SCREEN STATUS SPEAKER DOLBY/DTS SURROUND DIRECT 5CH STEREO STEREO INPUT MODE ANALOG EXT IN
I could not find any of these codes on Starbase 314 but am told they do exist. I figured I'd see if someone documented them before I go searching for them all.

Evan,
If you find them please let know since I've got the AVR-2700 and I'd like to know what they are as well. I've got an email in to UEIC asking them specifically about this receiver and if I hear back I'll let the group know. Are you using device code 0160 for the receiver? I don't think there are any discrete codes for the individual surround modes on the lower model Denon's. I know the 5700 has them but I don't believe there are any for the lower models. This is what I recall from some conversations regarding the Pronto at the Home Theater Forum.

I am using the 0160 code on the AUX device of my Cinema 7. I'd find it odd that there are discrete codes on the 5700 for individual surround modes but not on the lower models as all of the models considering the 2800/3300/5700 use the same remote, but who knows. I might go manually code searching through everything to see what I come up with.

I have the Denon AVR1400 receiver and I plan to go through the advanced codes manually tonight. I will post here my results and complete advanced codes list for the Denon remote control as soon as I can.
I personally find it ok to search for advanced codes manually. Going through the 255 possible codes only takes about half an hour. This sometimes requires patience cause you might come across codes that seem to do nothing unless the device is already in a special mode, but it is worth the attempt.
It's also good fun : yesterday I was manually testing all codes for my Toshiba rear-projection TV and I came across very weird on-screen menus I had never seen before, which completely changed colors in the picture like swapping Red, green and blue tubes (probably colorimetry settings for maintenance technicians)...I don't know to what extent this kind of manual exploration could be harmful to the equipment although I don't really think one could do much damage just by using the remote controller...
Any opinion or experience (good or bad) on the subject ?
Waldok

Denon AVR-3300 (manuf. code 0160) advanced codes:
You can add multiples of 256 to these and they will still work.

Here are a bunch more advanced codes for the Denon AVR-2800 which should also work for the 3300. Basically you need to set your receiver to 0160 for the standard codes but you need to use 0004 for some of the advanced codes. Just set your receiver to 0004, set the advanced codes you want, then switch back to 0160. Worked great for me.

I have found that some of the codes above do not work on my receiver.
If anyone has a complete set of codes specific to the AVR-2800 or codes not listed above, please post them here.
Meanwhile, I will be going through all possible codes in 0160 and 0004 to see what is there, but I can only do so many at one sitting. I will post whatever I find when I am finished.

By the way, I am using the RS 15-1994 remote, but posting here since htere is no forum set up for the 15-1994.
How about it. Would the moderator set up a forum for the 15-1994?

Here is a complete list of codes for the Denon AVR-2800. These codes are for controlling the receiver and amplifier features, so no codes are listed for things like the "TV/VCR" A/B button (which is used for controlling the video source of a TV, not the AVR-2800). I hope the format of the charts stick... Have Fun!!! =====================================
