Hi all,

I'm not having much luck getting the advanced codes to work on my RS 15-1994 remote for my Denon AVR-2700 receiver. I'm using the 0160 device code and it seems to work ok for most things but I still need the following codes:

Cursor Left
Cursor Right
Cursor Up
Cursor Down
Channel + (skip to next preset)
Channel - (skip to prev. preset)

I've tried the codes listed for the AVR-3200 (device code 0160) and they don't work. Does anyone know where I can get these codes?

Thanks,

Eric

The buttons are definately scrambled. From what I've found, the 7,8,9 and 4,5,6 are reversed. The 2 and 3 are reversed (I think). And the "1" button I found by manually scanning advanced codes from 255 down on my own.

The swapping of buttons can be done with the key mover. Remember, the key mover moves the ORIGINAL function, not the copied function. Therefore, you can do:

MAGIC**, 9, 9, 4, 9, 6**
MAGIC**, 9, 9, 4, 6, 9**

and effectively swap functions. I don't have a lot of experience with this receiver. I set it up for my brother a while back and this is what I remember doing.

I seem to remember that for day-to-day operation, all I really needed to fix was the number keypad part of the remote (and maybe the surround button).

Gerard,

Thanks for the help but the number keypad seems to be working ok for me. At least I can select all of the input modes (dvd, vcr1, vcr2, tuner, etc.) ok. The problem is that I like to use the on-screen menus from the receiver and I need the cursor buttons to do that. They aren't mentioned at all in the starbase314 advanced codes sheet mentioned above. I'd already printed that out and tried about all I could find on it. Is there anyone I can contact about getting these codes?

Thanks anyway,
Eric

I bet you can't select DVD. I found all of the necessary codes by manually looking for them.

Actually Gerard I can select DVD. Its number 2 and it works fine. Like I said all input codes work fine. I guess I'll have to manually search for them or possibly just learn them from the original remote.

Thanks for the help.
