What are my options to try to get this to work with my All For One model URC-6011B00?

Hi Andrew;
I realize yours was an old post..but.. wondering if you ever found a code for your control or located an original sansui. I have a VRDVD4000 & would like to find a users manual & remote control. Ebay usually has remotes & manuals for the 4005 but never for the 4000. Any help much appreciated.

There is a JP1 upgrade for the SANSUI VRDVD4000 posted at
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

So with a JP1 cable you could add support for that to any JP1 capable remote.

Rob's devices.xls file lists setup code DVD/0868 as having the same protocol and internal device number as that upgrade. But I don't know whether the function level details match. Anyway that setup code seems to be included in only some of the URC-9960 remotes and no other models, so it's probably harder to get that built-in than to get it via JP1.

I have no clue regarding a manual for the 4000. But I expect the JP1 route to getting a remote would be easier and less expensive than finding the real Sansui remote.

Edit: Taking a closer look at devices.xls, I see DVD/0695 is a more plausible match for that upgrade and that setup code is included in a few available models. Probably your best choice is the URC-6131. But it is also in all the 9960s, as well as the Radio Shack 15-2133, and 15-2138.

You still could get better results using a JP1 cable. but buying one of those remotes with the support built-in would be simpler.
