I'm trying to control a Dishplayer 7100 with the RS 15-1995. The 15-1995 was purchased mid-February.

According to the Universal Electronics helpline number (the 800 number listed in the RS manual), code 0159 is supposed to control it.

The remote accepts 0159 and when you press some of the keys (power, channel, etc.) the remote's LED blinks but the Dishplayer ignores it totally.

None of the SAT codes seem to control it either.

I've read the threads produced by the search function but have not been able to figure if they apply to my situation.

Has anybody actually gotten this combo to work?

Does anybody know of any other RF/IR remote that WILL control the Dishplayer 7100?

I tried, but also failed. I ordered the 15-1994 and am very happy. Like you, however, I want the RF capability. We need a remote with RF capability that can learn many keys. I haven't see one that even meets these minimal requirements.

Actually, I talked to a more alert person at the 800 number today and she told me that 159 was NOT the correct code, but 1005 was. She also stated that 1005 might not be in the 15-1995, depending upon when it was built.
I punched in 1005 into the one I have and it said NOT FOUND. The cardboard box itself has a label on the back: 09A99. Maybe more recent date codes of the 15-1995 contain the desired 1005 code.

You can always use learning to configure all of the buttons.

The 15-1995 is NOT a learning remote.

I called the Radio shack manual 800 number again, to see if they could supply date codes of the 15-1995 that contain the desired 1005 selection.

Sorry, pressed the wrong key while describing the status of my quest for a "1005" code to my wife. she just snickered.
Anyway, the 800 number person stated again that i might find later 15-1995s with the 1005 code, BUT she recommended that I get a 15-1925 instead.
The 1925 is discontinued but might be available in RS stores and has built-in modem. This allows them to upgrade the 1925 with the 1005 code.

Purchased the 15-1925, upgraded it over the phone line via the 800 number and it does control the Dishplayer 7100. Tried it from the basement and the 1st floor (dishplayer is at one end of the 1st floor) and it does work.
Haven't tried figuring out how all the buttons map, but it does allow channel up down & direct numeric channel entry.
1925 is clunkier looking than 1995.

I also bought the 15-1925 and am reasonably happy with it.

From badboy on the DishPlayer forum:

Here are the advanced codes for the dishplayer : 528:GO,268 Listings,336 Recent,400 home, 720 Options, 369 Scroll dwn,588 Info,492 PIP, 497 Scroll UP, Other codes listed seem to work once you have the code 1005 upgraded in the remote. But here they are in case they arent working for you. 435 Channel dwn,526 Channel up, 465, Down, 305 Select 657 Left, 594 Power, 364 Recall, 273 Right, 593 UP, 563 View. I figured the following codes : 302 30 sec ff, 336 recent, 366 FF, 398 Pause, 334 7 sec instant replay. So I have the ptv services working except for RW. Still trying to figure that one. Will post when available or someone please post if anyone figures out.
