I guess the moral of the story is: JVC SUCKS. Oh, I thought the moral of the story was: Get a TIVO. :-)

or, maybe Cico's real initials are "J.V.C"
Actually I hope that isn't true (Get a Tivo). I agree with John, I have NO USE for any PVR device. Here I agree with cico's techno-geek thing. They fit in well for TV addicts, unfortunately that just isn't me or the mrs.

BTW, hi Dave. Nice work over at JP-1.

You don't have to be a TV addict to enjoy a PVR, you just have to be someone who enjoys an extra degree of freedom. Specifically, freedom from commercials and freedom from network schedules.
If you don't watch any TV, then a PVR isn't for you, but if you watch ANY TV at all, then it is. Unless you want to juggle tapes between four VCRs like John does, that is! :)
Rob ps. Maybe he's really ImaSickoGreenBuffBoy

actually just 2 do well enough for us. I don't "watch" commercials on any medium, TV, vcr or dvd movies, or on the net. If a movie has "commercials" strung through them, we just don't watch that particular movie, we're not that impatient, or gotta keep "up-to-date" that we can't wait until it's available in non-commercial format. Fact is, we get pretty well "entertained" with movies from the 90's that we never had time to see when we were slaves in the working world (14-24+ days, days on end.) "TV" time for us *MITE* be 2-3 hrs a night, and then not every night. Given a choice of taking a bubble bath with the mrs. and watching a movie, the bath wins out everytime. "movie" time is more often cuddle time, so it's no wonder we don't mind watching the same movie a dozen times, I don't think we've yet ever really "watched" a movie all the way through. Yeah, picture and sound was flowing, but we weren't always focused on it every minute.

Maybe you need to take this thread over to the intermission forum, then I'm sure someone will supply pictures! :)
