It uses Device NEC1:81.16, AFAIK, there is no built in setup code for that. It works fine with a JP1 cable and a device upgrade.

Thanks for the reply. I know that I need to get a JP-1 cable to program, but I'm not sure what you mean by a device upgrade.

It's all explained in the various FAQs and other documents in the Yahoo JP1 group.

Simply stated, a device upgrade is a new setup code that you can create and put into your remote's eeprom and then use just like you use built in setup codes.

I just posted my device upgrade in JP1 Files|Devices|Audio where I tested for all 256 possible commands for this unit. It has discrete input commands, discrete 5.1, and selecting any discrete input powers the unit On.

You still need to follow John's advice and read the various documents, but the upgrade already exists.
