Hello All,

Not sure if I can be help with this one. I lost my original remote for my Tv, a magnavox. Now, I can use my 15-1995 to access the menu but cannot use the up and down arrows to move selections from the menu. Do I need to purchase a replacement original remote for my tv?

First have you tried Channel up & down while in the menu? And have checked the advanced code list for the setup code you're using, what is it?

I have tried the vol/channel up and down. It just changes the vol and channel. I have not tried the advanced codes.

I have 3 Magnavox tv's. All three use setup code TV_0054, and the menu functions all work as designed.

So, you can try:
EFC 191 Menu Up
EFC 223 Menu Down
EFC 095 Menu Left
EFC 255 Menu Right

I tried the advance codes from the hi-fi remote website. None of them worked (hope I did it correctly). I will try AndrewZ codes.. hopefully these will work.

To enter advanced codes into the 1995;

1. hold Setup, until the screen reads TIMED SEQ
2. Press arrow down twice, until it reads CONFIGURE
3. Press SELECT
4. scroll down to KEY MOVER
5. Press SELECT, screen changes to FROM
6. Tap SETUP
7. enter 3-digit advanced code, screen changes to TO
8. Pick button

OR, push the device you want to enter a code for (TV in your case), push P, push the first two buttons of the three digit advanced code, push the third button. When you press the third button the command will be sent. You can try out codes this way without having to assign them to a button.
