Hello All,
I have a radio shack 7 in one remote model #15-1995. I have never had any problems with it (3 yrs) until now. Seems that most of my keys have gone crazy. Here is one example : If I press vol- the tv shut off. I have replaced the batteries and tried to reset it. I took the batteries out and pressed the power button for 45 seconds. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions.

Sounds like the Anti-Piracy mode has inadvertently been activated. To fix this, first you need to unlock the Service Menu, as described here: [Link: hifi-remote.com]Then you can fix the scrambled keypad as decribed here: [Link: hifi-remote.com]Hope that helps, Rob http://www.hifi-remote.com

Well, I tried the suggestion Rob suggested. It worked!! How can I prevent from this happening again. Was it a multiple of key presses that started this whole thing?

Have you been changing setup codes alot recently, I think that's what triggers is, but I don't know for sure.
