Hi,

I just joined this group and am considering the purchase of a JP-1
type remote for my system. I have a Sony TA-E9000ES preamp/processor
which included a touchpad IR remote.

I am concerned about compatability because the current remote is strange. Also, I
have heard that the codes are different for this pre/pro than they
are for most Sony receivers. I checked in the files section on this
group and I cannot find any reference to this preamp fot JP-1 codes.

I am looking at the URC 9910 so that I can also control sources from
the bedroom via RF. But most of the time it will be in the HT room.

Anybody had any experience with using JP-1 with the TA-E9000ES? Any
key learnings? Is there a way to gain direct access to the
sounfields?

Thanks, Tom

Tom - the 9910 should do exactly what you want. Using sony 26.233 of which I'm not sure if the 9910 has built in but since you're talking of JP1, you can easily add it.

I do not have personal experience with the TA-E9000ES as you requested, but it looks like you can gain direct access to the sounfields. See here:

ext,

OK, this is very good info. I checked the site and it sort of makes sense. I will study more.

Thanks very much!

Tom
