ALRIGHTY THEN!! I have most of my components reprogrammed! Edmund seems to have misspoken and thanks again Robman. I am having a hard time "punching" the volume through so that no matter what component I am using, the volume always activates the reciever volume. Any tips on how to "punch through" the volume?

Thanks

Actually, Edmund said that the version of the VCR/0618 setup code that's in the 15-2104 won't accept advanced codes, and I know this to be a fact. Advanced codes and learning are completely different animals.

As for the VPT (vol punch thru), most RS remotes will only let you set the VPT to the TV device button. (I don't remember if that is the case with the 15-2104 or not). If it lets you set the VPT to other devices (eg, AUX1), here's how you would do it...

1. Press and hold SETUP, two flashes
2. Type 993, two flashes
3. Press AUX1, two flashes.

You can definitely set the VPT to any device with JP1. Without JP1, your only options are to use key moves or learning to fix the volume buttons in the other device modes.

Key Move Example - copy AUX1 volume to VCR mode.

1. Press and hold SETUP, two flashes
2. Type 994, two flashes
3. Press AUX1, VOL+, VCR, VOL+, two flashes

(repeat for VOL- and MUTE)

Thanks to all who have posted and helped me. I am so close now, it's mostly a question of if I have enough unused buttons on my 15-2104 or not. By the way the code for the Arcam (I'm sure I am the only person who will ever need this code. A great component, but not too popular.) is 1189. Finally, I am interested in this whole JS1 deal, but wy main computer at home is a Mac. I am running OS X so I should have no problem with the unix. Any closing thoughts on this?

It's "JP1" not "JS1", but unfortunately, you do need a Windows based PC to use it, the Mac won't do it, sorry.
