Anyone have discrete power on/off codes for a Philips
3500 HTIB. The remote being used is a RS 2116.

Thanks

You should always mention which UEI setup code you're using for ordinary functions when you ask for info about advanced functions. (Tell device type and 4 digit number).

Philips has a lot of models, so finding an IR expert with a 3500 HTIB is unlikely.

Philips doesn't have a lot of different IR signals, so once you identify the UEI setup code, anyone with information about any model using the same setup code could help.

John,

You are right I did not provide enough info. The code being used is 1269 mapped to the Audio button on a 2116. Also another quick question if I may. When programming a discrete code such as 018 for a 0054 philips TV, I do just use the keymove documented elsewhere here and use 018 with any conversion, correct?

Thanks

That makes things a little trickier. That is a two_byte combo code generating signals for several different Philips device codes.

Because it's a two_byte code you can't use any advanced codes with it without using a JP1 cable. That also means there won't be a list of advanced codes from experiments by other users of UEI remotes.

Because it's a combo that I don't know much about, I can't tell what Philips device codes to look for to get discrete codes from Pronto resources.

Probably there are a few simpler setup codes within your 2116 that operate parts of your HTIB. Key moves can access those setup codes, so you may be able to use advanced codes (once you find out which ones you need) without a JP1 cable (via key move from another setup code).

If you happen to know another setup code whose power toggle operates your device, that would answer a couble aspects of the above questions. (I may have time later to learn a signal from one UEI remote to another in order to answer that more directly).

Also another quick question

I assume 018 is an EFC number (not an OBC or command number from some non UEI source) so no conversion is needed. The steps to define that key move are documented in each of several messages that have 'keymover' and 'synt' mentioned in the same message (do a search for one and look for the other).
