Is there any codes for Sampo (612)DVD players so I don't have to learn all the buttons in?
I found this (DVD/0698 ---------- Sampo)
but my 15-1995 does not accept that code. Am I doing something wrong by entering 0698 as a VCR code?

The 698 is the correct code from Universal Electronics for One For All remotes. Unfortunately the 1995 does not have that code. You could add it with a JP1 cable, or get a remote that has 698 in it. Not many (If any) One For All's have the 698 code yet.

Looks like learning then is the way to go, I do not wish to mess with the JP1 cable. If I were to mail it to someone how much would you charge to program 0698 on it for me?

To program a DVD code using the 15-1995 you need to program it as an LDP code not a VCR code.
JP1 is easy.
The 15-1995 doesn't have learning, so that's not even an option.
