I may be posting in the wrong forum but...
RCA D940 Remote Extender - Always on? I have two RCA D940 remote extenders remote/sending units that have become "Always on" state sending signal to the base/receiving station.
The base of these units have become very warm to the touch.
Have these devices just become trash?
If so... does anybody know of a good online store to purchase just the remote/sending units? Most of what I have found only want $5 less than the cost of the full kit of both the sending unit and receiver.
Any way to convert a receiver to a sending unit? As I currently have a few extras in my home.

Are they always on? Yes. You can get a set for less than $20 on ebay.

I have tried to use "Ebay" to purchase but keep getting snipped at the last minute and can not sit in front of my computer to make sure that I don't loose a bid by $0.01 as has happened to me four times now over the past weekend... I have found dealers on the net which advertise a low price .. but then charge over the top S/H!!
