If I understand correctly, you want a "discrete" code, not a macro. A discrete is a single command, a macro is a series of commands (imagine pressing "menu", "up", "left", "down", "enter") programmed to one button.
That being said, you might want to post your question in the Discrete Hunter forum on this site. Also check out
www.hifi-remote.com. There are lots of links there.
You might also want to look into JP1. Your remote (I know, I have one too) can be programmed via your computer. hifi-remote will give you some information, but it also has links to a JP1 group on yahoo that shows you how to build a cable or buy one, and the software to program your remote.
