Does anyone happen to know if the "Shifted" keys work with the RS 15-2133 Kameleon. The RS manual never mentions a shifted key function. The euro manual describes the shifted key function in detail. I can't make it work w/ my RS Kameleon.

Thanks in advance for any help

It does work. Possibly the following will help explain it:

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply. I wish I would have stated my question more clearly. The Shift function clearly works when using RM. It also works well in macros. I'm just not able to perfom a shifted key function on the remote itself. In other words, I'm able to assign functions to a shifted key using RM and then assign them to a macro. The macro runs fine from the remote. However, when I try to manually use a shifted key by pressing the Setup key briefly and then pressing the shifted key, the effect as if I had never pressed the setup key. I get the original (unshifted) function.

Can you tell me if this is normal for the RS unit or am I just to dumb to figure this out ?
thanks Again!

The "Setup" key on a 15-2133 is labeled "P", right?

I don't have a 2133. I'm pretty sure shift works normally on a 2133.

There is a time limit (I think 10 seconds, but I'm not sure) after you do a short press of the "P" key within which you must press the next key for it to be shifted. If the time limit ends without another key press, the remote forgets the press of P.

Yes. The "Setup" key on the kameleon is labled "P". My kameleon definitely won't shift using the "P" button. Are there any 15-2133 (Kameleon) owners that can tell me if this is normal or if my remote is broke?

thanks again for your help!

Yea, the Shift works on my 2133. What key are you trying to shift? Did you try it with different (kind of) keys?

If the shifted key you're trying to use is one of the numeric keys, it requires a DOUBLE press of the "P" key to activate it. Just a "P", Number puts the remote in a waiting state for the other 2 numerals which is the "efc" "search" procedure. Off-hand I suspect you're trying to access a shifted-numeric key, and this would explain why it's not working for you. If you are indeed trying to access a shifted numeric key, try a double "P" press, and it should work right for you.
