Based on discussions here that I seem to remember reading, you CAN do the following:

1) Program a macro to a button
2) Restore the original function of the button using advanced codes to overwrite the macro function for that device.
3) Repeat this for every other device you don't want the macro.

Now, if assigning an advanced code will work, how about using the clear function?:

DEVICE-MAGIC**-9-9-4-key1-key1**

What about a key mover operation? (It *should* work.)

Can someone try this and see if it works?

Any key already assigned a macro will activate the macro in every device. Unless:

If you want to reclaim a macro key for one or more of your devices, but leave the macro on all the others, you can use any 994 sequence including

- reseting the key to it's original function:
DEV SETUP** 994 key key
- mapping another key to that key:
DEV SETUP** 994 (sourceDEV) sourcekey destinationDEV) destinationkey
- assigning an advanced code to the key:
DEV SETUP** 994 SETUP (sourcedevice) three digit advanced code (destinationdevice) destinationkey

I've been there and done that.
