You need to change the code your receiver responds to, its using a new code set(AV2), you need to change to (AV1). Then the codes in the Kameleon will work, check the instructions in both of theses threads, then tell me which one worked.

Alternately, you could use the tools in the JP1 group to create a .wav file file that will add a setup code for AV2 to the Kameleon (you don't even need a JP1 cable, just the free software).

You might even want to post that .wav file somewhere, since there seem to be a fair number of Kameleon users who have AV2 devices.

Thanks but...

"on the the factory remote HOLD the USE MODE button and PRESS the AV1 button".
"on the receiver, CLICK the CUSTOMIZE button and use the button to SELECT AV1".

I have no such buttons on my SONY remote !!! and also not on my receiver!

It's probably best to start at Rob's site

and read some of his JP1 introductory material, then go on to the Yahoo JP1 group at

Constructing a .WAV file for AV2 from the tools there should be possible for a beginner, but there are a bunch of different things you'd need to learn (feel free to ask questions there).

Maybe some expert will jump in and make that WAV file, since this is a frequent question. I don't have a Sony receiver and don't have a .wav capabable UEI remote, so I couldn't test it and wouldn't know which functions ought to be added, moved, etc., so I haven't done it. Hopefully one of the other experts has some better fraction of the appropriate devices.

Many thanks !The link helped me to move from Av2 to AV1. So I can access the main functions (volume, on/off). For the rest I will try the option of JP1. If I succeed in creating a wav file, I will post it.

Many thanks to all
