I got the 2116 but can't find any coded to work my JVC receiver. I learned all the buttons I need like volume, etc. When I lock the volume to my receiver it doesn't work unless I hit the Audio button first and then volume works fine.

Any idea why it won't volume lock when the voume is learned. A code that would work the receiver would be even better. I used 0074 with my One for All but that doesn't work.

Thanks in advance.

To summarize, either RCVR-0074 or AMP-0331 is required, but neither code comes with the remote. Your best bet is to get a JP1 cable and program it with IR.exe... This way you can program the remote with any code (not just those that come with the remote).

I use a 2116 with my JVC 884 receiver... The best thing about this remote is you can program macros onto the device keys (only if you use JP1). For example when I hit the DVD key, it turns on my tv, sets the tv input to s-video, turns on the receiver, sets the receiver source to DVD, turns on the DVD, and hits play. The devices keys for SAT, VCR, CD are also set up in this way with macros... Hitting the power key turns everything off.

Many devices allow for discrete power on/off commands which are not on most factory remotes (which usually have just power toggle buttons).

I used code 0074 for the JVC receiver, and then had to add a few more commands to get the menu, exit, select and arrow buttons to work.
