I just received an 8811 and JP1 cable from BlueDo. Can someone tell me which way to align the connector on the remote? There doesn't seem to be any pin 1 indication on either the remote or the cable.

Thanks.

With the jp-1 cable I built, I can hook it up backwards and it doesn't damage the remote. If you've got the simple interface, I believe it's safe to hook up and test the interface. If it doesn't work, just flip it around.

Like Mr C7 said, you won't damage the remote by getting it the wrong way around, but if the cable is assembled the way I think it is, the cable should run downwards from the remote rather than back up over the battery compartment, with the URC-8811.
