I'm helping a friend with a new Radio Shack 15-2126 4-In-One Remote (the one with the US Flag).
It doesn't have device for a receiver but are there any codes for TV, VCR, DVD or CBL/SAT that use the same signal as the Sony 0158? If we get lucky, I guess we could use advanced codes to control the receiver.
This is a handy little remote on sale for $7.99 right now. The 15-2102 also is $7.99 but this one has newer device codes.

Oops, I hadn't tried that yet. What a shame.
Do the lower end OFA and RS remotes (newer ones being sold today) not support advanced codes anymore? Or just the 15-2126?
I had thought the 15-2126 was better than the 15-2102 but I guess not if you want to control something not preprogrammed.

It does appear that they have removed the advanced code feature from most of the really cheap remotes, for both OFA and RS.
