I've had the 8810w for a couple of weeks now and something has been bugging me in the manual. IT says that i fyou have a new device that isn't supported to call the company and they will search their database and provide a new code for the device. This sounds like nothing more than using advanced codes? I am I on the right track with this? Or is 8810w upgradeable via a modem or sound file? My understanding is isn't but could be wrong.

The 8810w has a 6-pin connector in the battery compartment, what you would have to do is send in the remote to OFA and they would use this connector to add the new code that you need. You can also do this yourself with JP1. [Link: hifi-remote.com]Rob
