Can someone tell me what kinds of things that I can do with a JP1 kit vs just entering some codes using the set key? Also, does the URC-6012 support JP1 without internal modification?

Thanks all!

Too much to describe here. You can skim through some of the references to JP1 in this forum, or read about it at hifi-remote.com, or join the yahoo group and read about it there.

The 6012 needs an eeprom added, and a JP1 connector, and a jumper. I don't think it's advisable for those without good soldering skills.
