Hello everyone,

Could someone please let me know what the advanced codes are for the "Home" button for the Sony UTV and the RCA UTV. I am using the RS 2116 remote with JP-1.

Thanks a million,

You could try inputing advanced codes 0-255, you might just find it. The sony UTV codes I have, I found in the archives of DBSForums. I did a search for OFA, in the old UTV threads. I also found a advanced codes for PIP move, the RCA code didn't work, maybe you can try the sony code 222, I don't have a sony UTV.

Edmund, Rob just replied on the JP-1 site and said to use: 512

I will give it a try, thanks for all of the help. I will also try the DBS sites.

EFC 512 sends exactly the same command as EFC 000 (or EFC 256 or EFC 768).

UEI has an interesting (consistent) pattern of choices among the 3 or 4 possible EFCs for each command that they use when giving out lists of advanced commands. Rob usually uses that same pattern when he compiles lists of advanced commands. That sometimes reduces confusion. In this case, I think it may have confused you, if you thought that Rob's "512" contradicted Edmund's suggestion that the correct number was somewhere in the range 000-256.

Actually, the code lists on my site are "as given" which is why they usually use the goofy UEI format. At one point someone ran a Perl script on my files to get most of them down to the base 0-255 format, but the new UTV codes I gave GS came directly from UEI, hence the format.

I could have reduced them to 0-255 but I didn't bother.
