http://www.hifi-remote.comRob...I think I've found the easiest workaround, short of programming it with JP1. I kept running out of memory by trying to keep the RS-2116 on TV and learning the commands I wanted from my CBL in that mode.
I reversed the process (keeping it on CBL) and programming the few TV commands I needed (Vol +/-, Sleep, Mute) in the CBL mode and I had sufficient memory.
Most importantly, when kept in the CBL mode the EXIT button now works as it should (Exiting the CBL Guide).
All in all...the RS-2116 is a nice remote for a secondary system and primarily for programming my MX-500. I'll still order the JP1 since I can't find the one I bought nearly a year ago.
