Sorry for the confusing subject...

I was wondering if there is a way to assign a key that will turn a device ON if it is OFF, but leave it ON if it is already ON (in other words, NOT turn it off).

For example, if a macro is designed to turn the DVD on and switch audio source but the DVD is already on, I don't want the macro to turn the DVD off. Does that make sense?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry to bother everyone...after some time I discovered that what I'm looking for is called a "discrete code" that can do "on-only" or "off-only". Unfortunately, it seems that Toshiba doesn't have them for their DVD players.

Thanks for the great forum! I'm learning quickly...

Toshiba DVD's will turn On from Off using the Play botton. So do a couple of simple macros; On=Play|Stop and Off=Play|Power Toggle.
