I received a Radio Shack 6-in-1 15-2133 as a Christmas gift and really like the remote.. almost better than my older remote.. an RCA RCU810..

The one thing that I do not like is.. the 2133 seems to have fewer programmable keys?

So the question is...

On screen ONE I have a key marked MUTE and I change to screen TWO that also has a key marked MUTE...

Now is this really the same key or can the MUTE button on the second screen be reprogrammed by training the key with the learning feature?

Also... I can not find what the following key does... but under the DVD & TAPE transport keys is a key that looks much like:
[->|]

It is displayed along the same line as the P-I-P, MOVE, FREEZE, & SWAP keys

Did you try this yourself before posting a question, and if so, what were the results?

My guess is that it's a "NEXT DISC" button.

Rob -
Call me chicken.. I did not try the programming of the remote and thought that I would ask just in case somebody had tried it and "crashed" their remote in the process.

You won't "crash" your remote by programming a simple keymove, and even if you did, there's nothing you can do to the remote that a simple 981 reset wouldn't clear up.

Bottom line: it usually takes alot less time all round just to try something and see if it works rather than post a question and take up someone else's time. After all, how would we know if it works or not without first trying it ourselves?

To undo a keymove you can do a 994 and press the key twice.

For me the [->] key works as my "go to Live TV" button for my UltimateTV receiver..odd that the actual "Live TV" button doesn't do that though..Oh well, it's still an awesome remote.
