I have a GE Television, Philips DVD/VCR Combo and a Sony Home Theatre System. I purchased a URC-6012 and have yet to get it to work right.
It will work for the TV and the VCR side of the combo but that is it. Does anyone know the codes to combine all of these?

The combo probably requires two codes, a VCR code for the VCR side, and a DVD code for the DVD side.

JasonD,

I have your exact combination of remote and Sony receiver. Did you find a code to use?

It's kind of a cool looking remote so I don't really want to take it back yet...

Thanks!

You will have to make a decision, do you want the OFA remote to control your receiver, or the oem remote. You can't have both, sorry. Your receiver is using a new code set AV2, the factory default. You can change the receiver to the old code set AV1, but not your oem remote. Maybe the best thing for you to do, is leave it in AV2 mode, and get a true learning remote. But if you want to change, so the OFA's remote codes will work, heres how;

On the front of the receiver, push the SETUP button.
Press the left or right directional button until the display on the front of the receiver reads C.MODE AV2. Using the jog dialTM control, press the plus(+) or minus(-) button until C.MODEchanges in the display.

I believe the setup code for the STR-K470P is 1758. Probably not in the URC-6012, you can try calling One for All customer service to see if they have it available as an upgrade.

You give them a code that's not in any remote, you suggest to them to upgrade a non-upgradable remote. Keep up the good work.

Edmund,

maybe you haven't heard---you can send in a 6012 to ueic for an upgrade, they swap out the remote for a 6012 with header and eeprom, load the upgrade and send it to you. Then you'll end up with an upgradeable remote, ready for JP-1, and has the one upgrade you needed already done for you. can't beat a deal like that with a stick!!!
