Can anyone tell me what the quality (from a readability standpoint) is for the LCD on the new RS2116?
I have an RCA RCU810 and at best the LCD readability is very poor. The angle you hold the remote is critical and the characters on the screen are very thin and light.
How does the RS2116 compare?

I think the readability of any LCD remote depends A LOT on how fresh the batteries are. It sounds to me like you could use new batteries in the RCA. I think that the readability of the RCA and the 2116 are a little better than the 15-1995, but they are all pretty good with fresh batteries.

I just bought the RS-2116 yesterday, and my only complaint with the LCD is the character lines are too thin, making it somewhat difficult to see. But then again, I don't see much use in the LCD display unless you don't know what time it is or on what device the RS-2116 is set. It has a lot bigger problem IMHO. See this message...
