Just got the new HD cable box, and was wondering if anyone has found discrete on/off codes for it. The DCT 5100 by Motorola. Judging from prior experience with Motorola boxes, I would be a bit surprised if they exist.........but figured I would check.....
Even if not, at least I don't have to leave on the HDTV box from now on, which had NO remote.

Scott,
Does the DCT 5100 respond to setup code Cable_0476?
What OFA remote do you have? Once I know that, I can probably give you a better answer as to how to go about finding them if they exist.

I am using both the Radio Shack 15-1993 and more often the OFA "Comcast Digital" remote, that comes with the cable boxes and seems to do all the programming functions as the others (they just dont advertise it in the instruction manual that came with the cable box and remote).
And actually my main remote is the HTM MX-500, and the other two are used just to get discrete codes into the mx-500. I think the remote code for the cable is 0476, although it is the same code for the last cable box, and it has been quite some time since programming, so I cannot be certain.
