Is there any chance that there is a number for my new Outlaw 950 preamp for my Cinema 7+? I really hate the Outlaw remote.

Phil,

I'm not sure about the Outlaw 950. I just checked through the Yahoo Groups section and there are files for programming the 1050 receiver, but not the 950 pre/pro.

Have you searched this forum for "outlaw" see if anyone else has been in your situation before?

Did a search. Didn't find squat. I may have to just memorize everything.

I created an upgrade code for the 950. I'll try to upload to the jp1 files area sometime today, but it may have to wait till I get home from work tonight.

EMT,
New to this excellent forum. I'd really appreciate the jp1 upgrade code for the 950. Have you had a chance to upload it yet? I checked at the yahoo jp1 area and only found the old 1050 stuff. However, I did find out that some of the codes for this work on the 950.
TIA.
Jim

I had trouble finding it the other day when I posted that message. Ended up having to recreate the upgrade code. Just uploaded it to the jp1 group files area this morning. See [Link: groups.yahoo.com]

The layout I chose makes sense to me but you might want to rearrange to suit your tastes. You will need KM 7.0x & IR 3.10 since the upgrade does contain keymoves.

Actually what I uploaded was the Keymap Master text file. If you don't have Excel and want the IR file text file, let me know.

Thanks again EMT.

Glad you like your hiss-fixed new 950.

Hey EMT,
I notice that you are using the device combiner for this, but both codes that you are combining are NEC with the same device codes, the difference being that some buttons are NEC1 and some are NEC2.

I seriously doubt that one device uses both variations of the NEC protocol, what is much more likely is that the process that decodes learned signals in IR is mistaking the protocol for some of the buttons.

Seeing as how you have selected the NEC1 protocol for the repeating buttons like VOL+, etc (and I'm assuming these work), I'd suggest that you try using NEC1 for all the buttons.

You were right Rob. I re-worked the file to operate on all NEC1 and it seems to work. I've uploaded the changed file.

Thanks for the suggestion.
