Does the producer have the same functionality as the 6/7 with some added features and buttons? Or are some of the posts I've seen correct, and the producer has limitations the 6/7 don't (ie any key can learn a function, and putting macros any where on the remote save a few keys).

With the A/V & Home producer macros can go on any key (more or less), however you can only learn on the 6 specific learning keys. I've also heard those keys cannot be used in macro sequences.
