I just purchased the Radio Shack 15-1994. I can't find any codes for the Sherwood. I tried 0491 and 0502 and neither will be accepted on aux1.

Any ideas?

Did you try a code scan?

Yes, still no luck. Has anyone tried to call Radio Shack support? Will they have more device codes than what's listed in the manual?

Thanks

the 15-1994 doesn't support Sherwood. calling RS won't make a diff.

I have created an upgrade code for 0491 for the 15-1994. But to add it to your remote you need to have access to a JP1 box, or build your own. See [Link: hifi-remote.com]

I just built the JP1 unit that Glenn mentioned (well.. a different version). my 15-1994 now operates my Sherwood 6095 with code 0491. I suggest building this unit, its the only way you will get it to work. The easiest unit I found was in the JP1 Egroups message group. (a link to it can be found in www.hifi-remote.com) this was remote powered unit. here's the link to the pictures:

and here's a link to the "how to"

This unit uses about $8-$10 in radioshack parts, and only took about 1 hour to build (since i am horrible at soldering it took a bit of time). Best of luck.

P.S. Glenn, thanks again for the programming info for the Sherwood, it has made my life so much easier. =o)
