You folks seem pretty knowledgeable about remotes. Here is my setup, Toshiba CX36H6 Direct View TV, Pioneer VSX-608 receiver, Echostar 4700 satellite reciever (Dish Network), Toshiba 2109 DVD player, and a Toshiba 675 VCR.
Any suggestions on which remote will work best with this setup? I actually (fool that I am) purschased a HK Take Control and it would not learn my Dish receiver or the Pioneer! Needless to say it went back to the store so I could get my $349 back. I am thinking about a Philips Pronto (more expensive) but am afraid it will have trouble with the above items. I was told that my Dish remote is both a UHF AND IR based remote. Does this cause confusion in the learning of codes. A neophyte who is interested in learning about these "advanced code" setups.
Any info would be helpful before I plunk down $$$$. Thanks
