Can anyone give me instruction for entering advanced codes (to map specific functions for a particular component) on the 8910?

Rob wrote these instructions, so I never tried them, and I guess a mode is a device?

1.hold set key

2.go to keymover, press select

3.screen says"from mode",select a mode

4.screen says"from key", hit set(screen changes to synt)

5.key in advanced code, hit select

6.screen says "to mode",select a mode

7.screen says "to key",select a key

8.screen says "success",exit setup

Oh I see, so if someone else had written them, you WOULD have tried them??? :)


Yup. Actually, I didn't write those instructions, I just cut and pasted them from an email from a UEI contact, where they tend to refer to the device buttons as MODE buttons, hence the name of features like "Mode Map".
