Was having problems trying to use a macro to turn on all of my equipment and switch the inputs on my receiver and TV. Problem was the remote was sending the signal to switch the input to TV/SAT to the receiver just after power up before it was ready to accept the signal. I tried to insert a "pause" but that didn't work. So I just inserted the commands to switch the inputs before powering everything down with a Macro. Then when I power everything back up, the inputs are switched to what I normally want on.

Interesting. I had a similar problem with a Sony TV, but I'm not the only one that uses it, so your solution wouldn't work for me. I solved it by sending three discrete power on signals instead of one, which my testing determined would be enough of a delay for this TV.
Still, kudos to you for an original solution to a common problem.
