Well, I seem to have confirmed the following reported "bug" with the 15-1994: The volume punch-through seems to only work with TV. Furthermore, it ONLY seems to work for devices that do not "normally" have a volume control (e.g., CD, VCR, etc.) Even after performing the punch-through for my TV as the master device, my receiver's (AUX2) volume control remained in operation and *no* volume control was observed for AUX1 which I configured as my DVD player (VCR).

However, I WAS able to map the receiver volume controls to the volume controls of the TV, etc. using the 994 method. The way to successfully do this is to make sure you hit the source device key even if you are already in that device set. In other words, you must perform the following:

(magic) 9 9 4 AUX2 vol+ TV vol+

However, if you are already in AUX2, or hit AUX2 first and then try:

(magic) 9 9 4 vol+ TV vol+

it will NOT work on the 15-1994. I'm pretty darn sure you can get away with the second scenario on the Cinema 7, but the 15-1994 seems to be a bit more persnickity. Can anyone else confirm this?

I don't know how on-topic this is, but on my
Cinema 7 IQ I would omit the DESTINATION device
key, not the source, i.e.:

(magic) 9 9 4 AUX2 vol+ vol+

...assuming I was already in the destination (in
this case TV) device mode.

It's not much, but it ssaves a keystroke.

Does this (omission of the destination device
key) work on the 15-1994?

Yes, the sequence (magic) 994 AUX2 vol+ vol+ DOES work on the 15-1994. That's the exact sequence I used to map my receiver volume to all the other device modes. Great remote, thanks to all that have have posted around here...
