I'm looking for the code to control a SVD 2000 DVD player. It isn't on the One For All website or any other website for that matter. I have a Cinema 7 remote. I suppose this remote, like the other 5 I have tried, may not control that DVD player. I'm going crazy here :) I would greatly appreciate any help

Have you considered buying a learning remote?

I don't have any experience with learning remotes, don't you have to have the original remote and point them at each other to make it learn? If so, my problem is that I don't have the original remote.

A-ha, no original remote, so a learning remote won't be any good for you. Is "SVD" the brand of the player, if so, I've never heard of it, so it's unlikely that there's a code in most universals, unless it's just a clone of a more famous brand. Did you do a code search using your Cinema 7?

Yes I've searched everywhere. Finally I found that that brand is distributed by Philips and after a lot of searching i found a phone number to order a new remote

If it's a Philips, then it probably uses the RC-5 signal, when you call Philips ask them what RC-5 code this player uses and report the number back here, then I can tell you if there is a matching code in the C7. While you're at it, ask them for a list of the commands used for the various buttons.
