I just purchased a good condition 8090 Home Producer 8. I put in new batteries and had no problem setting it up for all my components. But every time I attempt to set up a Timed Sequence the LCD screen says [MEM FAULT] after I press SELECT a second time folowing pressing MAGIC as per instructions. It then immediately goes back to Device and Time display. I did a CLEAR ALL operation twice but no difference. I saw a simular message about [MEM FAULT] on this forum but no one replied.

Please help!! The Timed Sequence was the MAIN reason I purchased the 8090.

Thanks!!!!, Mike

Do you know if you are using any setup codes that have been added, as opposed to being pre-installed in the remote. The clue would be if the code is not listed in the manual. If you are NOT using any added codes, you might want to try a complete factory reset, which is different to a CLEAR ALL, the instructions are in the on-line version of the manual on my site.

But be warned that this procedure will erase any setup codes that have been added.

Thanks for the reply Rob, but all the codes for my components were pre-installed and I had no problem with that. All I am trying to activate is the Timed Sequence to control my components at a specifinc future time & date. During setup right before it allows me to enter the "turn-on time" it reads [MEM FAULT]. A past post mentioned the same problem for the same remote when he replaced the batteries but he had no solution reply. I just got this remote and wanted to have it control stuff when I go out of town Sunday. The guy I bought it from said he never used that feature. I'll call One For All when I get back and ask them what causes [MEM FAULT] unless someone else out there in electronic gizmo land knows!!!

Thanks, Mike

If all of your codes are pre-installed, you should do the full factory reset that I mentioned, I bet you anything that that will fix the mem fault problem.
