Has anyone had success in controlling the various sound field modes on a Sony STR-DB930 Receiver?
I can use code 0158 to control everything else that I need, except for the sound fields. The manual suggest trying 0159, but that doesn't seem to work at all for me.

Mike,

I am having the same problem with my STR-DE935. I'm able to use the advanced codes listed under 0159 for the station a1 thru a0 and the Scan Tuner up and down as well as the previous and next stations. The cursor codes do not work. Let me know if you get an answer. BTW what remote do you have? I have the RM-LJ302.

Sometimes there aren't any advanced codes. Figure out the basic ones you "need" and teach them to your learning Cinema.

I searched all 256 codes on my Sony STR-DE605 (a three year old Pro-Logic reciever). I didn't find any sound field codes. I ended up using the learning feature and put them on my (gasp!) L keys on my Cinema 7.

I managed to program the chanell +/- buttons on my 15-1994 to cycle through the sound fields on my STR-DB830. I can't recall how it did it right now, but I'll try and look at it and find out.

If you have one of the soundfields selected (i.e.
anything but the A.F.D. mode and the 2 Channel Stereo
mode), you can move up and down between them using
the cursor keys.

I'm having similar problems with a cinema 6 and a sony STR-DB930.

The remote won't even learn the keys to get to cursor mode so I can't change soundfields that way either
