The codes supplied with my Cinema 6 for Chaparral satellite receivers don't work on my receiver. It's a Chaparral Monterey 70. How do I get it to work?

Did the remote not except the device code (long blink)? Or did it except the device code (two short blinks), but then do nothing with your receiver?
It makes a difference.

It accepted (two blinks) but no response from receiver when used. The remote light on receiver doesn't blink either when remote is used. (It blinks when original remote sends a signal)

If the device code you used was 0216 and doesn't work, than all I can suggest is to try the other codes listed for different manufacturers. Try the code search method first. If that doesn't work then go thru the list and manually enter all the other satellite codes you see. Sometimes a new manufacturer will simply relabel another makers device and call it it's own until they get ramped up and can engineer their own unique device. For example, my Optimus (radio shack) receiver was actually made for radio shack by Pioneer, and works with pioneer codes and NOT optimus ones.
Good luck

Dave Found out that the remote will learn keys on all of it's buttons...not just on the 1L, 2L etc buttons. Just finished "teaching" and everything works. This remote is a great remote now that I found that out.
