First I hope this thread is in the right place. Problem: I learned most of the major functions to the 1994 from my Sampo dvd and Sherwood 6106 receiver, but then programed macro's to the s2 smart key to turn everything on( it does ). I learned it to also switch the receiver to video2 when powering up and it does. OK. Now when I hit s2 to turn everthing off, it does , but the receiver stays on. Does this have anything to do with video2 , and if so does anyone know how to get around it? Ant help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance John

You haven't said exactly what codes you stored to turn on the receiver and select video2, but you may have used POWER (a toggle ON/OFF key) and then VIDEO. It's possible that VIDEO by itself would turn on the receiver. If VIDEO works this way your macro is turning the receiver off and back on again. You could (should?) use a separate macro to turn everything off, and program it without the VIDEO button. (Are you aware that you can put macros on nearly every key, not only on the 4 buttons the manual mentions?) Maybe Shift S2 would be good for turning things off.

Don thanks for your reply. Yes , you were right. Video2 did turn on the reciever,so I did as you suggested, and programed another macro to shift s2 to turn everything off, this time leaving video2 out of the sequence. It's working fine now. Thanks again John
