if it can be re-programmed, the 1995 is more suited to my needs. otherwise, I have to forget about both models all together and get the new MX-500. I couldn't dig up any info on reprogramming the 1995 at: http://www.hifi-remote.com

I presume you're refering to the JP1 hacking project as found at [Link: hifi-remote.com] and [Link: groups]The answer is: We are finally getting around to cracking the memory layout in the OneForAll Producer 8 and it's sister, the 15-1995, and expect to support upgrades to these remotes in the near future.

If you get the "wait to be approved" message, it usually means that you have not completed a step, like replying to the confirmation email or something like that. Membership does NOT need to be approved on the JP1 list.
