The codes for H/K won't work on my receiver any idea what I should do. I tried the advanced codes and they will turn off my receiver but not turn it on. Any ideas?

Make sure you're using device code 0110 Then, advanced code 002 will turn your receiver off, 179 will turn it on. Direct selects will turn it on and select an input at the same time. i.e. 109 turns the AVR 210 on and selects DVD. See [Link: hifi-remote.com]for more.
