Hello Everybody,
I need help again from Rob or somebody. I decided to trade in my 15-1994 for the Cinema 7. I know some of you will say this is a mistake, but I like the size better and it is supposed to be pretty much the same, Right? Well, I was able to learn everything on the Radio Shack model, but now with this one ( I already brought one back) I an unable to learn anything at all. I am using the proper procedure according to Rob's manual (975 and all that) No luck at all! What the heck is going on? I have an Onkyo DVD with a code not listed. I have tried everything! Any ideas?
Thanks again, Greg

You did buy the URC-7800 Cinema 7+ (IQ), right? There is (was) also a URC-7200 Cinema 7 non-learner.

Yes I did, I am thinking now of trying fresh batteries. I noticed that they were down a bit below 1.5V. I pushed the setup and get the two flashes, press 975 get the two flashes, I press the device, press for instance the power button on each and get the quick and two long flashes, then I store it with the setup. Nothing. It must be something simple that I am missing...but I have done it before....

I dont think it is you. I get the exact same thing with my 7800 C7 IQ. Not one learning button will learn and neither will any button. I get the exact symptoms you get. What I have noticed is that when it is supposed to blink twice while learning, it only blinks once. Has me stumped.
