I just bought the 15-1994. To my suprise it was only $22.00 at Radio Shack.
Everyting went fine except its program codes don't work on my Technics receiver or my magnavox LD player. I was able to have it learn some functions but it would not learn the power button for the Technics. Anyone - HELP!

I can't help on that model but I own the 15-1995 which adds RF (allows me to control my system from other rooms) and adds a LCD screen, I have all Technics equipment. It worked fine however guessing which buttons selected various options took some time getting used to. Good Luck!

Actually, out of all the universal remotes that I've purchased, this (15-1994) was the first found that I found that actually worked for my Technics reciever. The power button works fine for me, plus, I taught the remote how to change my surround mode and to change the volume of the rear channel speakers. The only thing I haven't been able to do is switch between VCR/CD/FM etc, so if that's your problem, then I don't know what to tell you.

I decided to try 1 last time to get the 15-1994 to learn the power on/off code for my Technics receiver, and I'll be darned - it did, and it did it to the power button on the 15-1994 so it'll be easy to remember where it is.
The remote now controls all the everyday functions I want it to. I'm thinking of getting a 2nd one to control my main system. I was going to get the Sony RM-AV2100 but who needs to spend $129-$179 when you can get a great remote for under $30.
