Considering buying this remote, but want to know if it can control the "display" function on my Sony SLN70 VCR. I would like to be able to toggle between viewing the channel, time and tape info in the display window on the vcr.

Most likely, the answer is yes.

Depending on which device you're set up for (VTR 1, 2 or 3), you'll use device code 0033, 0035 or 0032.

The "Advanced Code" for toggling display is 286.

Check out www.hifi-remote.com for all the Sony codes, and how to build a $20 box to program the 15-1994 through your PC.
