The Apex is not factory programmed into the 15-1994, but can be added using a homemade interface box and the information available at:

Just for clarity, if you guys are talking about the old Apex AD600A, you can program this by messing around with TV code 0030 (details on my site), but if you have one of the newer models (such as AD660/500/703/800A, etc) then, just like Glenn said, you'll need to add the code.
