I have 1 device that my 15-1994 won't operate. I am one of the many people plagued by having a Sherwood RVD 6095 reciever (my URC8080 works it fine) that the RS remotes do not support. I am not that technical and i was wondering if there was anywhere (or anybody that has the JP1 box) that i could send my remote to so i could get the commands programmed into it? I would try to make it, but i have been confused reading your programming posts. Any ideas on what i should do?

Thanks in Advance,
Adam

If you want to have a crack at building your own box, you should check out Robs site at:

[Link: rockabilly.net]

You can also make a solderless remote control. This takes all of the stress out of building one. You can find info on that at:

http://jp1.freeservers.com

You can also find links to other people's helpful box building sites at:

Adam,

At first I was overwhelmed by the programming of the 15-1994 that is so well discussed and documented on the JP1 site as well as hifi-remote. I built a no power supply 4aa cell box and then started to look at the programming. I have a dishplayer and needed to get the upgrade in for it. I posted on JP1 forums and Rob got replies on how to get it into the remote. It was difficult for me at first but as you work it it becomes a little more obvious. I am never going to be a whiz at it. But I will be able to program my 15-1994's (I have three) so that my family can enjoy one button access to their home theater setups and not have to figure out how to juggle multiple remotes. If someone else programs your remote for you and then you decide you want to add macros, I used IR.exe, then you will kick yourself for not having your own box.

Just my two cents.
