In December, R wrote the following: ``I have a C6 and VR 405 reciever. 0313 controls almost everything, Execpt DVD input. 0314 doesn't seeem to control anything. For some reason C6 will not learn the DVD input.'' And Rob responded: ``There are several buttons that come from other Kenwood device codes, but unfortunately there aren't any device codes in these remotes that match.''
Well, I just bought a VR 405 and the C7 and am wondering if there's anything I'm going to be missing. The problem mentioned above is not one I seem to have: I was able to program the cd/dvd input onto the remote (at least that's what I think I've done...). But maybe there are other functional issues that I don't know about yet, that I ought to know about before it's too late to return the remote if I don't like it.
One thing I am having problems with is getting 0314 to do anything. I've been following the instructions as set forth by Rob, I think, for using two codes. But it's not working. Mostly I want added tuner functionality. Can anyone help with this?
Thanks!

Well, hold on, not so fast. I went to try and add the DVD-6 Channel input to the remote -- and I can't find a code for it. Is that what ya'll are talking about? Sheesh, that means you gotta have two remotes hanging around, doesn't it? Is it time to look at that Sony?

Wow -- I'm turning into my own expert. Anyway, I used the learn function to add the DVD-6 Channel, so now I'm walking around the house going, ``Look at the big brain on Brad!''
Thanks, me!
